3rd Turn Brewing would be honored to provide our services for your next event, party, anniversary, birthday, family or class reunion or whatever the occasion is. Each event will be booked with our management team and someone from our facility will be happy to walk you through our options. We have large table formats that require no reservations most of the time but if you are looking for a positive space rental we would be happy to share our pricing sheets with you. Space rentals usually start at 8 or more people and can be as large as 50. Larger offerings are possible on special request.

JTown Chili Hop

We are preparing our best chili for this year's hop. Be ready to get the best JTown has to offer. More than that prepare to vote 3rd Turn Brewing as best chili of 2026.

Some rivalries are settled in the ring. This one's settled in a bowl.

Join us on Saturday, October 17th as 3rd Turn Brewing's The Church returns as a 2nd Year Contestant in The Second Annual J-Town Chili Hop! From 3–6PM, hop the trolley through the Gaslight District and taste your way through 10+ local J-Town businesses, all competing for one very hard-earned title: Best Chili in J-Town.

This year, we're bringing back Chef Lee's "Mean Three" Chili, made in-house and ready to throw its hat in the ring for the win. Sample it alongside the rest of the lineup, cast your vote, and let your taste buds decide who takes home the crown. If you loved scratch-made Bread, Mama Tess will be providing a new recipe: Herbed Foccacia Loaves you can sample and take home - while supplies last.

Hop off the trolley at The Church and stick around, because we're not just serving chili. Grab a craft beer, one of our seasonal cocktails or slushies, and don't skip the lovely Garden Seating and Outdoor Decks. It's the kind of stop that makes the whole hop worth it.

Best part? All it takes to taste everything along the route is $10, or a donation of canned goods. Comfort food for a good cause, and a good afternoon for the whole family.

Every good harvest festival needs beer, music, and at least one goat wearing flowers. This one's got all three.

Join us on Friday, October 23rd as 3rd Turn Brewing's The Church hosts The Last Stein: A Kirchweih Inspired Fest, our farewell to Oktoberfest season done the old-world way. From 5–9PM, inside and out, we're throwing a celebration rooted in centuries-old Bavarian tradition. Kirchweih began as a festival marking a church's consecration, a community coming together over beer, food, music, and the harvest. Feels fitting, given where we're standing.

This isn't your average last call. Come meet The Stein Maker herself, working the wheel live and giving you a front-row seat to how the vessel in your hand actually gets made. Then head to the Sanctuary for a Goat Toast and Flower Crowning with our friends from Blackacre Nature Preserve & Historic Homestead. Yes, there's a real goat, yes, there are flower crowns, and yes, you should absolutely stay for it!

THE LEFTOVERS take the stage for live music while you work through a lineup of European, local and craft beers, while Brinehaus Meat Co. brings the traditional German food straight to you to make it feel like the real thing. Stick around for the Golden Bell Raffle before the night winds down.

Join us on Wednesday, October 28th at your neighborhood Church Brewery for The Art of Kintsugi: A Guided Workshop, an evening of reflection, repair, and gold. Hosted alongside Laurel Hill and Company, we're bringing the centuries-old Japanese practice of Kintsugi into the beer hall for one night only.

Here's how it works: you break it apart (you can bring a piece to break or be provided with one day-of). Then, piece by piece, you put it back together, filling every crack with gold instead of hiding it. It's not about erasing the damage. It's about honoring it, turning what shattered into what shines. Miss Skye will guide you through the process and 3rd Turn will provide the Beer to "help the healing process"

This is a slow, hands-on evening. No rushing - this is a Beautiful Japanese Tradition rooted in peace and healing. Just you, the tools provided, a vessel, some gold, new faces, and a space built for quiet transformation. Sometimes the most beautiful things are the ones that have already been broken once...

Join us on Thursday, October 29th as 3rd Turn Brewing's The Church transforms into ground zero for our Sinners & Saints Halloween Party, a Halloween rock show and costume party all in one. From 7PM til' close, come dressed as whoever, whatever, or whichever side of the line you fall on this year.

Arbitrary Symmetry returns to the stage, and this time they're not playing golden hour. They're playing their spooky set, the one saved just for this night, built to echo through 100+ year old bricks and rattle some old Spirits in the process.

Grab a bite from Cousins Seafood Truck (a big crowd favorite! - they will be posted outside 3T earlier than the party's start time, so if you want your Seafood fix before the Festivities start inside, they will officially start at 4pm). Browse our Surprise Vendors (yes, surprise, we're not telling you who! It could be anything!), and don't skip the Silent Auction while you're here for some cool prizes. Wash it all down with our Halloween drink specials and special brews, crafted just for the occasion.

Come as a sinner. Come as a saint. Just come, and wear a mask if you've got one!

FAQ

Am I Allowed to Bring in Outside Food or Outside Alcohol?

We suggest you opt for our food options when available first (we have food trucks and in 2024 we hope to have a permanent onsite food option) but you will be allowed to bring in outside food. 3rd Turn does not provide any paper plates, utensils, napkins or other food amenities. Outside alcohol for the purpose of consumption is illegal to bring on premises. If you are caught with outside alcohol anywhere on property, you will be asked to leave.

Are Kids Allowed to Come to 3rd Turn Brewing?

Yes, minors are allowed. However, we ask that minors are supervised, remain with their parent and/or guardian for the duration of their visit; and refrain from running and climbing on furniture. We provide numerous games and have guest wifi available. We will let you know if your kids are being a disturbance to other customers. Thank you for your cooperation.

Am I Allowed to Bring My Dog to 3rd Turn Brewing?

Well behaved, socialized and leashed dogs are allowed in the church and outside on our patios.

Do I Need a Reservation? Also See -- But I Have A Lot of People?

No. Still No. At 3rd Turn Brewing we have large format seating and lots of standing room and on good weather days lots of outdoor space. Please look at party booking as well.

What If I Want to Book a Party or Wedding, Anniversary, Family Reunion, etc.?

If you need positive space rental in the form of a reservation for party space we have several options that our management team will be happy to walk you through after completing an online request.

Do You Work with Charities or Host Fundraising Events?

Both public and private events are welcome. We work with a number of organizations and host special events year round. We mostly prefer to work in collaboration with organizations but we are open to hearing from you on new ideas. See above ''What If I Want to Book a Party...?''

I Accidentally Left My Tab Open - Do I Need to Come Back In To Close It?

No. We close tabs at the end of the night with a 30% tip going to our beertenders.

We have a mug club at our location. If you would like to learn more about it please see a beertender and they will help you understand what is involved and how to get on our waiting list.

3rd Turn Brewing in Jeffersontown is located on the historic Gaslight Square in a newly restored 1878 church. The four partners in this unique brewery wanted to bring something old back again, the neighborhood bar. Share drinks and conversation in a comfortable and laid back atmosphere where the worst problem you will experience is trying to decide what to drink next.

Wow! What a great brewery visit. The space is beautiful, the bartender was a wealth of information about the beers and local spots, and there are dogs! Everything I'm looking for when visiting from out of town. Excellent beer list full of surprises and diversity. I really enjoyed the Double Haze porter - beautifully flavored wit hazelnut without being bitter or too sweet, and the Swooly fruited jalapeno kolsh - which is delightful with a full flavor of everything that is good about jalapenos and kolsh without any of the bitterness or trying too hard. Fabulous visit - can't wait to go back. (Also, so many doggos to pet)
