 There’s just something different about live music as the sun starts going down at The Church. 

Golden Hour Sessions is back for Session 2 at 3rd Turn Brewing, bringing another laid-back evening built for the locals, the music lovers, and anyone looking to slow down and enjoy a good night out on a Weekday (school's out for the Summer - woohoo!). Join us June 4th from 6–9PM for an intimate live performance by Jason Frank inside the Sanctuary at 3rd Turn .

This series is all about creating space for those smaller, personal music moments — the kind where the guitars echo a little warmer, the drinks hit a little better, and the atmosphere feels effortless. The bartenders always talk about that special magic that happens as the daylight fades through the church windows, and Golden Hour Sessions was built to share that feeling with the community.

Expect weekday drink specials, chill vibes, craft beer, cocktails, and a room full of good people just enjoying the moment together. No cover, no pressure — just local music in one of the most unique spaces in Louisville.

We’re bringing the spirit of a true Louisiana-style crawfish boil to the Sanctuary with steaming bags of crawfish, bold Cajun flavor, Craft beer, and a whole lot of good company. Whether you’re a seasoned mudbug veteran or cracking shells for the very first time, this is the kind of laid-back summer gathering built for getting messy, raising a glass, and hanging around long after the boil starts.

And don’t worry — we’ll provide the napkins and the cold beer. You just bring the appetite.

This isn’t your average author event — expect cozy conversation, beautiful storytelling, craft drinks, and a full tasting bar experience by Larrikin Bourbon Co. featuring specialty cocktails inspired by the book itself. 3rd Turn Brewing’s “The Church” is transforming into a glowing late-night beach party for Surf Rock & Soul Silent Disco with the Official Louisville Silent Disco crew on Friday, June 12th from 8–11PM .

This edition is built for the music lovers — featuring a headphone channel dedicated entirely to Surf Rock & Soul classics, alongside pop and hip hop stations so you can bounce between moods all night long. Expect everything from vintage beach anthems and soulful singalongs to funky feel-good tracks that somehow make strangers instantly become best friends on the dance floor.

There’s something hilarious and magical about watching an entire room inside a church-turned-brewery silently belting lyrics together under stained glass windows and neon lights — and honestly, that’s exactly the energy we’re chasing.

 Calling all Dads, Daughters & Long-Haired Kiddos — this one’s for YOU. 

Join us at 3rd Turn Brewing in Louisville on June 13th for Braids & Brews — a hands-on hair education experience designed especially for dads wanting to level up their hair game with their daughters (or sons with long hair!). Whether you’re learning your very first braid or just trying to survive morning hair routines a little easier, this event is all about connection, confidence, and making memories together.

Led by Hair Extraordinaires Taylor Eppard and  Abby Lynn, guests will learn practical, everyday styling techniques including the Basic Ponytail, Three Strand Braid, Fishtail Braid, and French Braid, plus an advanced feature inspired by the Rumi K-Pop Demon Hunters look. And don’t worry — all hair textures and skill levels are welcome 

Each ticket includes take-home reference diagrams along with combs, brushes, and ponytail holders to practice with during class. Choose between a $20 individual ticket or a $35 partner package with a shared mannequin, with sessions running 3–5PM and again from 6–8PM inside 3rd Turn Brewing in J-Town.

Tickets include a 3rd Turn beer of your choice - Enjoy the brewery atmosphere, and spend some quality time learning a new skill with for your kiddo in one of the most unique "Dad" events of the summer
