Some Fridays are unlucky - But this one's got a soundtrack, and a cold pint to go with it!  

 Join us on Friday, November 13th as 3rd Turn Brewing's The Church gets a little twist of horror for Friday the 13th: A loud, loose and slightly cursed live rock show! From 7PM til 10+, we're turning a 100+ year old church into the last place you'd want to hear a chainsaw riff... and the first place you'll want to be on a Friday night. Best part? No cover. Just walk in and get loud. 

  That Effing Duo takes the stage with a live set that's all about turning the volume up along with the superstition. Think big riffs, big energy, and a room full of people who'd rather make noise over an ice cold brew. Not a beer drinker? Our New Seasonal Cocktails have you covered too. 

 You don't need a mask to get in (but if you show up in one, we won't ask questions!). Come solo, come with your whole crew, or come with the friend who swears they're not scared of anything. We'll see who's still standing by the last song. 

 Hungry? Brinehaus Meat Co. is parked outside with the German Food Menu of your wildest Nightmares, so you can fuel up before the lights go low and the music gets louder...

 Join us on Saturday, November 14th as 3rd Turn Brewing's The Church turns the sanctuary into a dance floor once again for Salsa in the Sanctuary. From 8PM til' 1AM, we're trading pews for partners and filling the Brewery Church with rhythm, heat, and a whole lot of footwork. 

 Meraki Dance Company is leading the night, and you don't need to know a single step to join in. The Beginner's Class kicks off at 8:15PM and is included with your entry, so you can learn the basics, find your rhythm, and be on the floor before the night really heats up. 

 Never danced salsa before? Perfect. Been dancing for years? Even better. Come solo and meet a partner. Come with a date and finally use that "we should take a class" idea. Come with your whole crew and take over the floor. Or just catch a vibe and see everyone else glide across the floor!  

 Between songs, fuel up with Rosario's Mexicana Tamales from 8PM-1AM, made from-scratch and ready to keep you going. Pair them with a fresh craft beer, a cocktail, a slushy or whatever keeps your energy up until the last song.

Bitter Rivals is part cocktail class and part friendly showdown. Two of our Bartenders each bring their own twist on the Old Fashioned and fight for your vote. You'll learn what makes the Classic "Father of all Cocktails" tick, taste three full-sized Old Fashioneds, and help decide who wins. No bartending experience needed on your part! Whether you drink whiskey regularly or have only watched someone else make one, you'll leave knowing how it's done - and maybe keep an idea or two for mixing it up yourself at home...

What your $35 ticket includes: 

The Class (Learn + Stir)

• A guided Old Fashioned workshop at The Church

• The essentials: the spirit, sugar (syrup), bitters, ice, and garnish provided

• Bar Technique tips on stirring, dilution, and expressing a peel

Three Full-Size Old Fashioneds (Sip)

• Start by learning the award-winning 3rd Turn Old Fashioned of Jeffersontown - Our classic recipe, served first as your baseline. This is the standard both bartenders have to tweak. This one isn't part of the vote.

• Two rival Old Fashioneds. Two bartenders, two recipes, one crown. Each has their own spin on the classic and a pitch for why theirs belongs in your hand. Expect secret ingredients, big talk, and a little friendly trash talk. They'll make their case, teach you their ways, and you'll decide who's right.

• These are full-size cocktails, not tiny samples. Come with plans (or friends to share with!) on how to spend the rest of your evening (& getting home safely). 

The Vote (Vote)

• After tasting both competing OF's, every student in the class votes for their favorite rival.

• The most popular rival wins the title, prize, and bragging rights! 

The Night

• An evening in our historic church-turned-brewery

• Snacks or Light Bites encouraged to Bring with you to keep the night going- we will be offering servings of our House Chef Lee's Award winning 3 Bean + Bison Chili to purchase if you'd like to eat something warm as you imbibe. A small bowl will be available to purchase for $6 [crackers & spoons provided, of course; Cornbread side too for an upcharge!]

Join us on Saturday, November 21st as 3rd Turn Brewing's "The Church" hosts Noir at the Bar: The Louisville Tour, a night where crime fiction, dark storytelling, and craft beer share the same room. Doors open for the evening at 7PM, and it's NO COVER.

We're welcoming 11 authors under one gothic roof: Mindy Carlson, James D.F. Hannah, Meagan Lucas, Wes Browne, Eryk Pruitt, J.H. Markert, Wanbli Weiden, Robert Gipe, S.A. Cosby, David Heska, and Meg Pillow. If you caught J.H. Markert at his recent Book Release Social, consider this the sequel. A lot more suspects this time.

This is for the thriller devotees, the true-crime podcast listeners, the "just one more chapter" crowd, and anyone who has ever side-eyed a stranger at the bar and wondered what their story was. Come meet the people who write the plot twists, find your next favorite author, and leave with a stack of books you didn't know you needed.

Join us on Friday, November 27th, the day after Thanksgiving, as 3rd Turn Brewing J-town  hosts our Annual Turkey Jam, a night of rockin' live music and good food, with all proceeds benefiting Down Syndrome of Louisville. No cover.

You've already done the turkey. You've survived the leftovers debate and the family group chat. You've shopped 'til you felt like dropping. Now it's time to get out of the house and spend the best Friday of the holiday weekend with your neighbors in a 100+ year old church.

Kick things off early with Cousins Seafood, serving from 4 to 9PM. Then at 6PM, Cousin Easy + The Gutter Boys take the stage and keep the music going until 10PM. Come hungry for a Turkey break, stay for the set, and let the evening roll right along.

Join us on Saturday, November 28th as 3rd Turn Brewing's The Church kicks off the holiday season right after Light-Up J-Town with "The Great Big 3T Bake-Off", our very first pre-Christmas Dessert showdown, where we are showcasing the best Louisville Vendors have to offer in Pies and Cakes! (Public sampling and competition start at 6:30PM.)

Here's how it works: Local bakers go head to head in two categories, Pie and Cake, and you decide who wears the crown. One winner for each. Home bakers, hobby bakers, bakery owners, all in the same room, all hoping their recipe is the one you can't stop thinking about.

Your $5 entry gets you in the door to sample the whole competition, cheer on your favorites, and cast your vote for People's Choice. Our panel of local culinary judges will be picking their own favorites for Judge's Choice, and 1st place takes home a cash prize. Every guest also has a chance to win their favorite full-sized cake or pie to take home.

Between bites, grab a fresh craft + local beer or a cocktail, find a seat, and meet the bakers behind the desserts. This is a night for new friends, second helpings, and the kind of neighborly competition J-Town does best.

Are you a baker? We want you in it, and it's free to compete. Spots are limited, and you can only enter ONE dessert in EITHER the Pie or Cake category.
